CAM Sponsors Young Karting HeroPublished: 13 October 2015
We are delighted to announce CAM’s sponsorship of Reece Cullern-Jones in the remainder of this season and next in his UK Karting Events.
Reece got the taste for karting on holiday in Dubai where he tried the sport at an ‘arrive and drive’ track. He has been racing for two years, quickly progressing from four stroke, to more powerful, two stroke karts. He spent last year perfecting his performance with step up days before joining the Clay Pigeon IKR Winter Series on Attaq Motorsport karts for the duration of the series, winning the Junior TKM title and the IKR Junior Lap Record.
Reece now races his own Junior TKM 2010 Kosmic Mercury kart which has recently been branded with the CAM logo and colours. He will be taking part in MSA club events at the Clay Pigeon Raceway and in Southern TKM Club Championships held at various circuits across southern England and Wales over the next 12 months. His father, Mark, helps Reece practice between events and acts as his ‘pit crew’ at the races. The season is going well as Reece has already been awarded the Best Novice trophy.
“I’m so grateful to the team at Cellular Asset Management for sponsoring me at this stage in my karting career,” explains Reece. “I can now focus so much better on the racing calendar, knowing that my costs are covered.”
Reece’s father, Mark Cullern-Jones comments, “Karting is such an amazing training for young drivers, helping them to prepare for careers in motorsport and also teaching a wonderful array of skills including focus, attention to detail and professionalism. We are really delighted and grateful to have Cellular Asset Management’s support at this important stage of Reece’s progression in the sport.”
CAM’s Group CEO, David Pearson comments, “At only 15, Reece is an inspiration to the team at Cellular Asset Management. The karting schedule that he has committed to is tough, with a considerable number of events to prepare for. Reece has to demonstrate total professionalism at these events, together with honing his ability to learn and perfect his craft. These are values that CAM fully supports and I am delighted that Reece has become a brand ambassador for our company.”
Reece and Mark will be present at a demanding racing calendar over the next 12 months and we will be covering their progress on this website and on our LinkedIn and Twitter channels.
